2011 Przemysl, Zakopane & Krakow

Easyjet Bristol to Krakow with Silver Zone car parking. Car Hire with StayPoland.com – Fair price, and good service, but just watch for the pick up fees which look a bit odd. Przemysl has it’s own website and ski-slope. Zakopane bus service from Krakow for 18PLN by Szwagropol is perfect, but coaches can be busy. The Czarny Potok is a fine hotel. You can hire show shoes at the Shronisko at Morskie Oko. You need to book timed tickets for the Kasprowy Wierch cablecar if it is likely to be busy. The A&E in Zakopane Hospital is round the back. The Hotel Monopol was well sited for Krakow, 20 minutes walk from the Dworzec. If in Zakopane in winter you must have some ‘raki’ – ice studs, the paths are very slippy.

The view at the Morskie Oko can be reached by sleigh for 45PLN per person.Otherwise it is a 2 hour walk along a track. In Summer it can be very busy.

Krakow. Stare Kuchnii on 8 Sw. Tomasza is a fine place to eat, pleasant ambience and good value. If you have a few days, you can visit the Wieliczka salt mines and Auschwitz if the mood takes you, otherwise you can walk around all the sites with no trouble at all.
