Stansted to Krakow and back from Rzeszow. We visit Nowa Huta and realise if you are over 70 you get free travel on trams and buses, but the museum is being renovated so we walk around to find the interesting ‘Schrono’ – underground shelter.
So we get an American, well a Peruvian Pope. But this does mean they get the 12 folks required to ring St Zygmunt’s bell in the Krakow Cathedral

- At the top of the ski lift in Przemysl there is a new museum on the forts
- There is a new bicycle shop next to Aunt’s house, they will rent you an e-bike for 150pln a day
- The U2 bus leaves the Airport Tavern stop every hour or so, a 10 minute walk from the airport terminal, and is free with a bus pass whereas the airport flyer was £9 single (2025) to Temple Meads (£13.90 train single – with railcard). Change buses somewhere to get to Temple Meads, eg Clifton triangle #8. The X39 from Temple Meads will get you to Bath (£10.10 train single), but takes at least 40 minutes or so
