Rye Nov-24

Almost by the seaside. Celebrating an anniversary with the Hurleys. On the way a scoot around The Rocks, Pantiles & High Street in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Indeed the Common car park was well situated and free to park a Skoda Kamiq. With a superbly situated airbnb just off the iconic Mermaid Street, Friday evening was spent around the corner at the banging excellent Fletchers House fine dining restaurant. Saturday saw a walk to Camber Sands, a visit to the Pipemakers Arms for the England vs NZ nailbiter – with George Ford NOT nailing the last kick of the game for a drop goal. We finished with a bakewell tart cocktail, amongst others, at the Grapevine “champagne bar” for a post 10:30pm return to the Sussex House.

Saturday evening took us to the less formal fine-dining experience of The Union. Unable to cram any more in, left Sunday morning for a run out to Rye Harbour.
