Beer. Finally made it with 24 old fossils, highly appropriate as this is on the Jurassic Coast. Tough old soldiers set off west along the coast path, some slipping in the mud more than others. New boots for Kate are a must. Half the party went all the way to Sidmouth and were transported back to Seaton by bus – no thanks to the miserable driver. Seaton to Beer is easy if you (1) don’t take the road that has collapsed into the sea, (2) if you don’t wait for a relief lift from a Twiglet with a bizarre sense of direction.
Bev the Booker passed the baton to Pete the Planner with a farewell song and an initiation ceremony. Followed by a Music quiz which gave Andy Dodd more than he bargained for (aircraft fuselage recognition notwithstanding) and left font of all-things-music Kim finally stuck for answers.
Sadly washed out Sunday in Lyme Regis, posing in the Cobb, with Chris as Jeremy Irons and Sue as Meryl Streep, but a happy event for all
