A night in Venice Mestre tagged on to a Colletts walking & via Ferata holiday. A day in Venice was quite enough. Busy, hot, and no chance to catch a train elsewhere as we “planned” to Genoa, Padua wherever as the railways had a strike. It would have been better to go to Venice first and then enjoy the Italian countryside, but we did it the other way around so we came back exhausted.
