A flood of tickets to the semi-final once England had been knocked out saw France defeat Portugal in Zidane’s final full international game. In the final Zidane was offering Materazzi his shirt after the game – “I would rather have your sister” – head butt. Red card. Can’t blame him really.
Flew in to Frankfurt and saw Jurgen Klinnsman’s Germany lose on a big screen in the river. Drove down with Roger & Anne, then got a train back from Munich.
On the way had a scoot around Nuremburg of course
