CFG – West Woods

A huge amount of leaf litter, but still plenty enough found. Through Lockridge and the little road uphill. Lee, Maddie & Dion (and his monster much ring), Rosemary + others to remember. We saw Russula called such because they have ‘brittlegill’s. Mycenae because of the hat shape. We were reminded of Ascomycetes (shooters) and Basidiomycetes (droppers). With some yellow blobby Lemon disco – bisporella citrina normally found on beech wood, Candlesnuff, Postia subresa, there was some stump Puffballs which are spore droppers waiting for raindrops or nudges to spore – these always grow on wood.

we saw Oysterlings vs Panellus stipticus
