Well surely an affluent country such as the UK has no need for food banks? Well indeed it does. Starting in autumn 2023 volunteering here, we had started a connection having visited Sandwell Valley parkrun seeing them celebrate (2022) their birthday with donations for the local foodbank (2023). This was suggested to Lydiard’s RD and indeed we took up the initiative and organised a collection for the SFC.
