A tennis bootcamp bookended with a night in Palma and 6 days in Cala D’or…
- Hotel Fenix is in S’Arenal, if you want to stay around but not in Palma. 15 minutes and €24 by taxi from the hotel. It’s just somewhere we had found before so stuck with what we knew. Straightforward €70 or so a night B&B
- Then it’s off to the tennis/cycling
- Cala D’or beachfront apartment with a pool and private access to the Cala Gran beach from Florence@avf-calador.com
- A 25 minute busy bus trip to the Santanyi Market on Wednesdays and Saturdays
- A bus from Cala Esmerelda to the delightful beaches of Portocolom
- The excellent Botavara fish restaurant in the marina
- A walk to the headland at es Forti takes an hour or so from the centre, though check for opening times.
- All the coves and beaches to visit by Yellow or Green “land train”
- Transport with TIB public transport, but Taxi for 4 is excellent value from Cala Ratjada to Cala D’or was €69, and then from Cala D’or to the airport €75.
- We played Padel for €11 with rackets to hire for €5 and a tube of balls for €6 at the Pistes Municipals de Padel Cala d’Or, but worth ringing first to check one of the three courts they have is available.
- Fun and queues at Bristol airport getting passports checked and the bus to Silver Parking
