Doing well

Downhill Day

That’s what we call downhill

So we had a conflab amongst the group and got ourselves our own boat from Thushi Whale Watching in Mirissa to go whale watching 28th. They tried hard for us, but there wasn’t much in the way of whales, but in the 7 hours at sea (yes SEVEN) we did see flying fish and spinner dolphins with a glimpse of a blue whale being chased by several boats on surfacing for air. It seems we sailed out in the ocean beyond the southern lighthouse so it’s as far south and as close to the equator as we’ve ever been on the planet. After an exhausting trip we had a ‘farewell’ meal at the surprising Wiener Dschungel (Jungle) restaurant in Habaraduwa. Austrian cuisine in SL – whatever next?
