Never to be put off by a spot of rain, this was a weekend of new friends and as if Henry the Eighth hadn’t been enough – storm Imogen. Of course, no weekend would be complete without a spot of Ukelele buying, an almost obligatory game of Password, Cheese & Port and any number of amusing asides only possible when the Twiglets and Mrs D get together
We welcomed June & Mike; Steve made the long trip from Monmouth, on his way to Dunkerque, and our guest walk leaders from just up the road Alan & Barbara. A fine Fish & Chip supper was supplied by Woods, the deli next door, and the Crown pub provided good food and service on Saturday evening.
